Dried Apricots Export increased in the basis of Quantity
Last year from Malatya-also known as apricot capital of the world, 94 thousand 874 tons apricots have exported.
Turkish Apricots which have geographical indication by EU, every year imported notably from USA, Russia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, mainly all over the world.
This year, dried apricots yield has officially announced as 80.000 tons by the authorities. However, expected real yield will be around 135.000 tons. It means, quantity will be higher than last year. Besides, Malatya didn’t have too much hail this winter which could effect the quality of the products. In general, quality and quantity will be higher than the expected.
